As messages continue to flood in from Old Boys from across the history of DUAFC, I am reminded of the enormity of the day ahead. I'd like to thank all of the Old Boys that have sent messages in and those supporting on the day for their anecdotes, support and best wishes, they mean a great deal to all involved today. Some of these familiar faces can be seen below:
With this in mind, let's turn attention to the game ahead...
The 16:30 kick off at Basford United marks the culmination of huge amounts of work and dedication that pre-dates ourselves, indeed, this has been over half a century in the making. Stirling University had not yet been founded when Durham last won a national football championship 67 years ago. In that time, Stirling lifted the Championship in the 2013/14 season and have had two other visits to the final.
It is set up to be a box office game of football with two well-matched sides who are both undefeated in BUCS football in 2023. This year, Stirling topped the Northern Premier for the third consecutive year, whilst also enjoying a strong run in the Scottish Cup. However, a now fully fit and fiercely determined M1s side, who are unbeaten in their last 5 games carry stronger recent form having won each of their last five games, compared to Stirling's three. Just one game separates the two sides from potential National Championship glory.

The summit is in sight.
Come on boys!
