DUAFC are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Scoop Durham for the upcoming season, as they front our new ‘Player of the Month’ initiative. Scoop Durham is a student-run zero waste non-profit shop in the Riverwalk. Scoop offers a wide range of food products including staples and snacks price matched to Tesco, while also providing a platform for a variety of student businesses. Scoop aims to raise awareness of sustainability and make sustainable living more accessible to all.
Vice-club captain Freddie Merrett had the following to say about the exciting project:
"We are extremely proud to be partnering with Scoop Durham. I think it really crystallises DUAFC and its members' desire to engage with a larger movement of social responsibility and sustainability. This partnership is set to be the catalyst for further change in the outlook of DUAFC, using our platform to be a champion of positive change within Team Durham."
