Our
Ethos

A binding identity

A culture comprised of a group of talented footballers who are humble with a sense of ambition and collectively tenacious with an individual drive for self-awareness and self-betterment.

Sweep the Sheds

This key value is taken from James Kerr's "Legacy", where he famously wrote, "No one looks after the All Blacks. The All Blacks look after themselves". Humility is absolutely foundational to the ethos of DUAFC.

Habitually Ambitious

Integral to the values of DUAFC is a desire to keep pushing the club forward on and off the field with senior players instilling a sense of ambition in younger members from the get-go. Whether its the jersey or the club, we continue to strive for better.

Tenacious in Character

On and off the field Durham's players are tenacious in their pursuit of excellence. This character translates into an aggression and togetherness on the field that hopefully leads to repeated success.

Never be too big to do the small things that need to be done.

Leave the jersey in a better place than when you inherited it.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

EXCELLENCE IS A HABIT
