A Week in the Life

Get a taste of life in the first XI below as we run you through what a typical week might look like for our footballers.

Analysis and On Pitch Training

The boys kick things off on a Monday night with a video analysis session in the meeting room before heading out onto Track Pitch to put our takeaways into practice on the field.

BUCS Matchday

Wednesday means game day for most of Team Durham's clubs and the football club is no exception with the boys battling it out in the BUCS  Premier Division.

Recovery Conditioning

After back-to-back matchdays, recovery is vital for the boys heading into the weekend. A slot in the aerobics studio allows the players to recover on the foam rollers or via stretching & pilates.

Strength and Conditioning

Tuesday sees the boys hit the gym for a strength and power session in one of Team Durham's Performance Hubs with our specialist S&C coach. This ensures we are conditioned for matchday.

Non-League Matchday

Thursday sees the boys back in training following an S&C slot. Some weeks the scheduling means that the boys get a run out under the lights as they battle it out in Wearside.

Non-League Matchday

Saturday sees the boys back in action in the non-league pyramid. The 14:30 kick off gives the boys time to condition for matchday and recover in time for the Monday slot as they go again!
